FLACRA Has 83+ Naloxone (Narcan) Trainers

FLACRA is pleased to announce that we have 83 employees that are certified to train individuals on administering Naloxone also known as Narcan.

​

Narcan is an opiate antidote. Examples of opioids are: heroin and prescription pain pills like morphine, codeine, oxycodone, methadone and vicodin.

​

When a person is overdosing on an opioid or heroin, breathing can slow down or stop, and it can be very hard to wake them from this state. Narcan can block the effects of opioids\heroin and reverses an overdose.
