An Unforgettable Evening: FLACRA's 4th Annual Gala
On Thursday, October 22, FLACRA hosted its 4th Annual Gala in Geneva, NY. The event brought together community partners, staff, and supporters for an unforgettable night of celebration, connection, and a shared commitment to change lives in our community.
A special thank you to award-winning author and morning talk show host, Marci Hopkins, for sharing her powerful story and highlighting the importance of lived experience, reminding us that transformation is possible with proper care and a strong support system. We also extend our gratitude to Carrie Hessney-Doran for serving as our emcee and auctioneer, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the evening while leading a lively and engaging auction.
We were honored to announce our 2026 Partner of the Year as the Ontario County Sherrif's Office. Through partnership with the Ontario County Jail, FLACRA has served over 120 incarcerated individuals, helping them work through addiction, mental health concerns, and trauma. We look forward to future positive outcomes for those we serve in the Jail and continued collaborative partnership with the OCSO going forward.
In the spirit of the evening's theme: Transformation Through Connection, we were proud to showcase the evolution of our brand-new clinic in Rochester through a moving video. The True North Project, developed in partnership with Depaul, Person Centered Housing Options (PCHO), and the Rochester Interfaith Development Corporation (RIDC), includes 70 affordable apartment units and FLACRA's Recovery & Wellness Clinic in Rochester's Northeast neighborhood.
