En cualquier noche, 48,000 veteranos no tienen hogar. 2,399 de esos veteranos están en el estado de Nueva York. Esto deja al estado de Nueva York en el tercer lugar entre los estados con más veteranos sin hogar. Desde 2010, el número de veteranos sin hogar ha disminuindo constantemente. En 2016, el alcalde Lovely Warren declaró a Rochester como una ciudad sin veteranos sin hogar. Cadence Square se enorgullece de ser parte de ese movimiento.
FLACRA’s Cadence Square Housing Program is an OASAS Certified program designed for Veterans. It supports three housing programs: Community Residence, Supportive Living, and Independent Living.
Community Residence
Cadence Square is a Community Residence for veterans struggling with a substance use disorder, mental health needs, or homelessness. FLACRA works closely with the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Canandaigua to offer counseling and residential services.
Supportive Living
Supportive Living Apartments are available at Cadence Square and serve as a transitional step to independent living. Veterans living in our supportive living apartments have access to case managers, services at the VAMC, outpatient treatment programs, and weekly resident meetings. Public transportation is available. Additionally, FLACRA operates a small number of apartments at Victory House, located a short walk from the VAMC campus and on public transportation routes.
Independent Living
Cadence Square Apartments offers independent living on the Canandaigua VA Medical Center (VAMC) Campus in a new, quiet, pristine environment. The unique location allows veterans direct access to VAMC services just a short walk from their home. HUD and VASH vouchers are accepted for rent. FLACRA staff serves as a landlord. Service animals are allowed. There are one, two, and three-bedroom apartments available.
Vida independiente
Cadence Square Apartments ofrece una vida independiente en el campus de Canandaigua VA Medical Center (VAMC) en un entorno nuevo, tranquilo y prístino. La ubicación única permite a los veteranos acceder directamente a los servicios de VAMC a una corta distancia a pie de su hogar. Se aceptan cupones de HUD y VASH para el alquiler. El personal de FLACRA actúa como arrendador. Se permiten animales de servicio. Hay apartamentos de una, dos y tres habitaciones disponibles.
