According to recent studies, the cost of alcohol and other chemical dependency use in the workplace including lost productivity, medical claims and accidents amounts up to $140 billion per year. More importantly, think of the devastating impact that substance abuse and dependency has on children, teens, individuals, families and friendships.
The meaningfulness of the connections and friendships in our lives are one of our greatest treasures; each time we help change a life affected by addiction we make a connection that has a ripple effect that is often immeasurable. Perhaps you or someone you know has been touched by FLACRA or you may simply believe in the importance of giving. Whatever lies in your head and heart, your assistance is needed in order to ensure the ability to continue to make these connections and change lives. A successful Capital campaign years ago produced the ability to renovate and expand our services but the demand for these services continues to grow. In order to support our growing operations and meet our day-to-day needs the agency is conducting an annual giving campaign available to friends and families, business and industry, alumni and other who may want to help by contributing to FLACRA. When you invest in FLACRA you invest in:
- Outpatient services for adults and adolescents with addictions problems
- Help for family members learning to cope with their loved one's addiction
- Residential services that include a Crisis Center, Halfway Houses and Supportive Living
Apartments that provide a safe and sober environment in which to recover
- Vocational services to assist individuals in improving their employment related status
- Knowledgable professional staff with a strong commitment to the individual needs of their clients
